The Dynamics of Motor Control: Circuit Interactions in Health and Disease

The 3rd FENS Satellite Symposium for Early Career Researchers on Neuronal Motor Circuits | July 5, 2026, Barcelona.

Home

We are very excited to announce the FENS Satellite Symposium on Neuronal Motor Circuits, the day before the main FENS meeting.

This FENS satellite meeting will gather researchers with a shared interest in motor control, both in health and under pathological conditions, to discuss the latest advances in motor system research, ranging from fundamental mechanisms to clinical applications. Through cutting-edge findings, we aim to deepen our understanding of motor neurophysiology, development, evolution, as well as artificial (computational/robotics) systems, exploring therapeutic strategies, and foster collaboration in the search for innovative interventions for motor dysfunctions.

Presentations will highlight the diversity of research in sensory-motor integration, including its functions and circuitry, among other aspects. Additionally, we will explore the interactions between classical motor circuits, such as the basal ganglia, cerebellum, and spinal cord, which operate in parallel to orchestrate movement.

Scientists at every level of professional experience are invited to take part, with a special focus on emerging researchers, including early-stage group leaders, postdoctoral fellows, and students, who are encouraged to present their latest findings.

Registration is open until full capacity is reached (maximum of 140 participants). Early registration is strongly recommended.

Deadline for abstract submissions on March 1th.
